Office Visits

Initial Orthodontic Evaluation

During your first visit to our office, you will meet Dr. Han and the staff. Your medical and dental history will be reviewed and a clinical exam will be performed to determine if orthodontic treatment is needed and to assess the optimal time to initiate the treatment. Some patients are placed on recall to allow for more dental development prior to starting their orthodontic treatment. If the timing of the treatment is appropriate, an appointment will be scheduled for orthodontic records.

Orthodontic Records

Complete diagnostic records typically include 3D digital scans of the teeth using the iTero Element intraoral scanner, photographs of the patient’s face and teeth, and digital orthodontic x-rays. This information is used to develop a customized treatment plan for each patient. The records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment.

Consultation

After evaluating your records, Dr. Han will discuss your orthodontic diagnosis and a comprehensive plan of treatment with you, including the cost for your particular treatment.

Regular Appointments

The procedure to place the braces on your teeth will take a little over an hour. These appointments generally occur in the morning or early afternoon. You will then visit us monthly for adjustments, which will take 20 to 30 minutes. We will be glad to schedule these after school hours. Occasionally, however, long appointments may have to be scheduled in the morning or early afternoon. Patients are seen by appointments only. We make every effort to be punctual and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately.

Please message or call us if you have any questions!
